A 31-year-old Stillwater woman died following a two-vehicle crash in White Bear Lake and a man, suspected of drinking and driving, was charged Thursday.

White Bear Lake Police Officers responded around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday. Dana Marie Lucker-Milan was treated at the scene and transported to Regions Hospital, where police said she later died.

Robert Marines Rodriguez, 63, of White Bear Lake, is charged with a felony count of criminal vehicular homicide while under the influence of alcohol.

A preliminary breath test following the crash showed he had a blood alcohol concentration of 0.27, according to the criminal complaint filed in Ramsey County District Court. The legal limit to drive in Minnesota is 0.08. Driver said he didn’t see motorcycle.

Minnesota State Patrol troopers responded on a report of a crash at U.S. 61 and Minnesota 96 between a 2025 Jeep Compass and a motorcycle. Rodriguez, the Jeep’s driver, told troopers he was turning left on a yellow arrow, did not see the motorcycle and turned in front of it.

Rodriguez smelled of alcohol, had slurred speech and watery, bloodshot eyes and performed poorly on a field sobriety test, according to the complaint. He said he consumed a Bloody Mary and a shot of Fireball.

Witnesses stated the motorcycle was traveling north and had a green light as it entered the intersection when the Jeep turned in front of it.

Rodriguez has a prior 2021 DWI conviction.
