On July 24, 2026, at approximately 9:02 P.M the Anoka Police Department, Ramsey Police Department, Anoka-Champlin Fire Department, and Anoka County Sheriff’s Office responded to the train tracks near the 2700 block of Ferry Street in the City of Anoka on the report of a pedestrian hit by a train.
Early information indicates an adult male was struck after attempting to cross in front of an oncoming Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway train. He was pronounced deceased at the scene. Acorrding to Anoka County Sheriff's OfficeThis investigation is in its early stages, and additional details will be shared as they become available.
This incident is under investigation by the Anoka Police Department, Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway Police Department, Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office, and Anoka County Sheriff’s Office.
