On Tuesday morning, Elk River High School was evacuated around 10:45 a.m. following a threat directed at the school. The Elk River Area School District announced the evacuation as a precautionary measure to protect students and staff while authorities investigated the situation.
The Elk River Police Department quickly responded to assess the credibility of the threat. During the investigation, regular bus routes resumed, and parents were able to pick up their children safely. To ensure everyone’s safety, all after-school activities scheduled for Tuesday evening were canceled.
The school district urged anyone with information about the threat to come forward by contacting law enforcement, school officials, or submitting an anonymous tip. Thanks to the swift actions of the district and police, the community stayed informed and protected as the situation unfolded.
