Edina Police said the shooting occurred around 10:30 p.m. on York Avenue South. Officers closed the area between Hazelton Road and West 72nd Street for several hours to investigate, but they reopened it Friday morning.

The victim was taken to a nearby hospital where they are being treated. An update on their condition has not been released.

No one has been arrested in connection to the shooting as of Friday morning.
