29-year-old man died after drowning at the Little Emily Lake Park swimming area on Saturday.

The man was at the park with family and friends when emergency responders were dispatched to the scene for rescue efforts, but the man was pronounced dead, according to the sheriff’s office.

He was later identified as Cody Kent, of Burnsville.

Earlier this month, a 19-year-old college student drowned on Little Emily Lake after his paddleboat capsized.
