A teen is dead after a head-on crash in Dakota County on Sunday afternoon.

Investigators say a Ford Fusion was heading northbound on Highway 3 near 225th Street in Castle Rock Township around 3:30 p.m. when a Chevy Suburban traveling southbound crossed over the lanes and hit the Ford.

According to the incident report, an 18-year-old female was driving the Ford Fusion and a 19-year-old passenger was killed. He has been identified as Adin Nathaniel Castle.

State patrol says alcohol is a pending factor with the SUV driver, a 36-year-old Oakdale man.

Both drivers were taken to a nearby hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
