Search operations will continue Thursday for a man who went underwater near the Highway 41 bridge on the Minnesota River and has not resurfaced.
The Chaska police and fire departments, along with the Carver County Sheriffs Office, responded to the west of Highway 41 near the boat ramp in Winkel Park just before 5 p.m.
Witnesses told authorities that a man started swimming and did not resurface. The sheriffs office added that the man is Hispanic, 30-35 years old, 5 feet 7 inches tall, and was shirtless and wearing khaki pants.
Law enforcement used drones, an underwater operated vehicle, boats equipped with sonar, a Minnesota State Patrol helicopter and land searches on both sides of the river in an effort to find the man.
If you have any information regarding this mans whereabouts, please call 911 or the Carver County Sheriffs Office non-emergency line at 952-361-1231.
