A person is dead after a crash with a semi on Highway 60

A person is dead after a crash with a semi on Highway 60 in southern Minnesota on Saturday.

According to Minnesota State Patrol a Ford Bronco, driven by a man with one female passenger, was traveling southbound on 660th Avenue in Watonwan County when it collided with a semi heading westbound on Highway 60.

83-year-old Wayne Gary Hanson of Butterfield, MN, was killed in the crash. He had been driving the Bronco. His passenger, an 83-year-old woman of Butterfield, sustained life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the semi, a 43-year-old Marshall man, was uninjured in the crash.
