A shelter-in-place order has been lifted in a part of Minneapolis after officers were apparently fired at by an armed suspect Monday night who is still at large.
MPD officers were investigating a vehicle near North 35th Avenue and Penn Avenue when a passenger in the car shot at them.
The suspect then fled and is considered at-large and possibly armed.
The officers didn’t report any injuries, and a search is now ongoing for the suspect. MPD added that no officers fired their weapons during the incident.
Police describe him as a Black male in his late teens with a medium-large build and thick dreads. He was wearing a pink sweatshirt at the time.
Anyone who sees him is urged to immediately call 911 and avoid him. You can also contact Minneapolis police at [email protected] or by calling 612-673-5845.
