Police find 2 dead while conducting a welfare check

Police conducting a welfare check Thursday in Minnesota town of Babbitt found two adults dead.

Babbitt Police Department say they discovery was made at a home on the 30 block of Aspen Lane, following a request for a welfare check that was made around 11 a.m.

The officer entered the home and located two adult victims who both appeared to have gunshot injuries. Babbitt Ambulance Service responded and pronounced both adults deceased.

The identities of the victims have not been disclosed, and the circumstances that led to the apparent shooting are under investigation.
