Isanti County officials responded to a crash between a van and SUV at Highway 95 Northeast and Vickers Street Northeast in Cambridge Township.

The Minnesota State Patrol said the van, a 2019 Ram ProMaster, was going east on the highway to turn onto Vickers Street when it was rear-ended by the SUV, a 2004 Ford Explorer.

One person was extricated from each vehicle, and the driver of the SUV was pronounced dead at the scene. Their identity has not been released at this time.

The sheriff’s office said the driver of the van was brought to the hospital for treatment.
