Among those affected, Travis Eaton shared his heartbreak on social media, noting how his mother’s 40-year-old Maplewood Denny’s had been a neighborhood staple, with staff who knew regulars by name. He started a GoFundMe to support employees now without income.

Denny’s corporate expressed sadness and commitment to finding ways to reopen as many restaurants as possible, while franchise representatives hope the closed locations might return under new ownership. Meanwhile, some Minnesota Denny’s remain open, like those in Otsego and Apple Valley, offering a glimmer of continuity for local fans.
