Saturday morning six-vehicle crash sends one to hospital

One person was injured in a six-vehicle crash on southbound Highway 25 near Seventh Street on Saturday morning.

All six vehicles were traveling southbound on Highway 25 when they collided near the intersection at approximately 11:21 a.m. May 30.

Yamah Lonneh Thomas, 46, of Big Lake, who was driving a 2024 Mitsubishi Outlander, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to CentraCare’s Monticello Hospital. The State Patrol reported her airbag deployed.

The other drivers involved were Michael Welle, 57, of Monticello; Timothy Uphoff, 27, of Big Lake; Nicholas Folsom, 20, of Clear Lake; Jacob Heffron, 39, of Little Falls; and Justin Price, 40, of Lake Tomahawk, Wisconsin. No other injuries were reported.

Two passengers — Samantha Heffron, 34, of Little Falls, and Sandra Welle, 59, of Monticello — were not injured.

Road conditions were dry, and alcohol was not believed to be a factor. The Wright County Sheriff's Office and CentraCare Ambulance assisted at the scene.
