A suspect is in custody after officers responded to reports of a stabbing in Coon Rapids on Tuesday.

Coon rapids police officers were dispatched to a house in Coon Rapids around 4 a.m. after a man reported he was stabbed and en route to the residence. When they arrived, officers reported the man was suffering from a non-life-threatening cut to the arm and was taken to the hospital.

Officers later discovered the stabbing had taken place in a separate residence. When officers arrived at the second home, they said a man, who police refer to as the suspect, refused to exit, prompting Anoka County SWAT to assist.

Police said the victim knew the suspect and there is no lingering threat to the public.
