Around 11:40 a.m., according to the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office. Officials described the body as decomposed but did not share any other details about the person.

The Minneapolis Park Police, Minneapolis Police Department and Minneapolis Fire Department also responded to the scene, and the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office Dive Team is now searching the lake for additional evidence.

Authorities say the Hennepin County Medical Examiner will publish the identity and cause of death at a later date.
