A 65-year-old man was hit and killed by a vehicle near Bemidji on Sunday night.

The Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office says that it happened on Division Street Northwest. The call came in to dispatch at about 10:43 p.m.

When deputies, officers and first responders arrived, they started life-saving measures on Floyd Cloud, but he died at the scene.

The 56-year-old driver stayed on scene and is cooperating with law enforcement.

The investigation is ongoing, and the Minnesota State Patrol is helping with crash reconstruction.
